The dishing soap is great for shampooing an animal that is really grimey. Doing a primary shampoo and rinse may not produce much of any lather if really dirty. Then giving the animal a final soap up will work better at producing a clean skin and coat. For some skin problems that goats encounter such as flaky or scaley areas, I found that using a scrub brush to work in a dandruff shampoo(containing a zinc active ingredient) can do wonders. Shampooing. I have found out that goats love to be shampooed every few months. I use Dawn dish washing soap, and it works great. And it does not cost an arm and a leg either. Originally posted by Linda Houle - reposted to give continuity to forum} Gary Pfalzbot, GoatWorld (719) 267-4279
